Must-do things when traveling to Canada

If you are looking for a country which offers a vast landscape, along with a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere, and a range of amenities to meet your needs, then Canada is definitely the place for you. Spanning over nine million kilometres, Canada is spilt into 6 zones, with each having its own unique lifestyles and experience to offer; but with so much ground to cover, and with there being so much to do in Canada, how do you know what to do on a short timescale? To give you a few ideas, here are four things you should definitely consider doing when traveling to Canada.

Visit Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls sits across the Boarder of the United States and Canada, and the Canadian side boasts some of the most spectacular views imaginable. You can see practically all of the falls from the Canadian side of the border, which makes the whole experience really powerful, plus you can go down onto the water on a Boat Trip, and feel the spray of the falls washing over you! There is a lovely town, Niagara-on-the-lake, just seconds from the fall for your convenience, and with it being only around 133 Kilometres from Toronto, you can reach the town and the falls via train, bus and car, making it pretty easy to get to for any traveler.

Go Skiing

There are lots of wonderful skiing destinations in both western and eastern Canada, but Whistler in British Columbia has to be one of the top stops to go to for the idyllic skiing experience. Whistler Village offers all that you could ever need in amenities, from food and drink to shopping, arts and culture. Not only that, but you can find comfortable Whistler hotels with hot tub and pool, which are conveniently close to the ski lift so that you can hit the slopes with ease.

Try the delicacies in Montreal

Montreal could be described as the ultimate foodie city! With possibly more restaurants than even the biggest US cities, including New York and San Francisco, there is bound to be something on offer which appeals to you; in fact, there is even a food tour available in Mile End which lasts three hours! Of course, if you are going to go to Montreal, then one local delicacy you should definitely try is poutine, a simple but tasty dish of chips, covered in brown gravy and cheese. While it might not be the healthiest of treats, you can find it practically anywhere, and it’s a big hit with even the fussiest of kids!

Go Hiking

Canada has some of the most beautiful views imaginable, and could not offer a more peaceful place to set off on your hiking adventure. Canada boasts luscious green mountain ranges, clear blue lakes and a host of wildlife to make your journey unforgettable. There are lots of trails all over the country, with a range of difficulty levels, so whether you are traveling alone or with a family, you can find the perfect hiking experience to suit your needs.
