Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week, you compile a list of ten books that coincide with that week’s theme. You can find everything you need to know about joining here!

This week’s theme is all about the books on our Spring TBR!
I haven’t been very successful at reading my winter TBR this year. I was traveling for work, then my son’s birthday, and some other life issues came up, and I only managed to finish 4 of the easiest reading books from my winter TBR – My Beloved Life, The English Teacher, The Marriage Portrait, and The Sicilian (review coming soon).
I’m not sure if I want to bring the other books into my spring reading list. I am more in the mood for something lighter this season.
So, here’s my fresh set of books that I’d like to read.

- Catherine de Medici: Renaissance Queen of France by Leonie Frieda: I have read a few biographies of Catherine de Medici, and I never fail to be fascinated by her. When I finished The Marriage Portrait, I started looking for books in the same time period, and this one called out to me.
- Watchmen by Alan Moore: I loved From Hell so much that I wanted to read more of his books, and by all accounts, Watchmen is the greatest graphic novel ever, so there it is on my TBR.
- How to be both by Ali Smith: This year, I had the ambitious idea of reading each of her seasons’ books throughout the year. But then I remembered I have struggled in the past with Ali Smith’s writing, so I just decided to dip a toe in the water first and see how I like her writing before committing myself to four books.
- Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo: I still keep meaning to dig into that ever-growing Booker reading list that somehow no longer seems to interest me. I think the problem is that I just have lost that reading focus that I used to have.
- The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewell: I love her thrillers; she’s not as predictable as other thriller writers, and always manages to surprise me in the end.
- We Are All Liars by Carys Jones: Another thriller. I wanted to try some new-to-me authors, and thought the premise seemed interesting.
- The Housemaid by Freida McFadden: I saw the movie recently and it was a fun couple of hours. Thought I’d read the book to see if there’s more nuance than there was in the movie.
- How to Kill Men and Get Away With It by Katy Brent: Another new author I would like to try. It’s recommended for people who loved How to Kill Your Family (liked the concept, not the execution), so I am curious to see if this book will be better.
- Minor Disturbances at Grand Life Apartments by Hema Sukumar: I have been feeling a little homesick this winter. So, when I spotted this book in the library, with its adorable cover and setting in my hometown Chennai, I couldn’t help picking it up.
- Mother Mary Comes to Me by Arundhati Roy: I love Arundhati Roy’s writing, and I’d read anything she wrote, so yes, this is on my TBR list this spring.
What books do you have on your Spring TBR? Which books on my TBR would you recommend I read first? Any books you suggest I drop?

The Housemaid is a lot of fun! 🙂
A lot of us struggled to complete our winter TBRs from what I’ve seen from blog hopping today. You are not alone!
May you enjoy all of these titles.
How To Kill Men and Get Away With It is fun and undemanding.
Thanks for sharing your #TTT
