Meet Me at Starbucks

While walking visiting our neighborhood Starbucks for a seasonal cappuccino a couple of days back, I saw a whole bunch of post-its on a board. I looked a bit closely and saw it was peppered with tons of #HowWeMet stories. When I walked into the coffee shop, I was also asked to fill out the post-it in return for a discount, which I dutifully did.

And came back with this not-so-little cup of yum!

Anyway, I don’t want to digress from the main part of this post (apart from mentioning that toffee nut latte is a must try the next time you visit), which is that Starbucks is promoting a #HowWeMet competition. The punchline behind the campaign is that Good Things Happen When We Get Together and their website has some of the cutest videos to prove that fact.

As far as competitions go, it’s fairly painless and easy to take part in. I am too lazy to bother otherwise, neither would I recommend the competition to you (yes, even if the post is sponsored, I don’t work that way), if I didn’t think it wasn’t hassle-free, and if you win, the rewards are totally worth it – one year’s supply of coffee. I am practically drooling at my desk as I write this post at the very thought of it.

How to Participate in the Competition, go to Meet Me at Starbucks, and follow the instructions:

  1. Share your story about how you met someone important in your life by logging in via Facebook, Twitter or as Guest.
  2. Use #HowWeMet and #StarbucksYourCityName hashtags.
  3. Upload a picture.
  4. Share it with your friends.
  5. Show your love for other stories by clicking on the heart icon.

So, if you’re a coffeeholic, heck even if you’re not (they have good desserts!), submit your entries here, and you may just get lucky.

Best of luck!

There is no way I could compete with the stories already submitted, it would be very bland in comparison
