The Rifle Paper Co. first came to my attention when I saw their lovely Puffin in Bloom editions on Amazon. I absent-mindedly signed up for emails from them, and while most of their emails go unopened in to my trash folder, I couldn’t help clicking through when I saw that they have new iPhone 6 covers in stock.
So, of course, once I went down the rabbit-hole of online window shopping for iPhone covers, I had to go and check out what my other favorite phone cover company Uncommon has in stock.
Uncommon and I have a history together. I bought my old iPhone cover from them sometime in 2010. They were one of the few companies back then that shipped internationally.
I had picked out this lovely red cover that I still love and use now. Only it took ages for them to process my order, I waited 2 months for it and it never came. I then logged a customer complaint and was absolutely thrilled when they sent me another case with super-fast shipping without a whimper and at no extra cost.
After receiving my absolutely fab case, I never saw a reason to go back to their site. Why would I? The quality of the existing one was so great.
But now, with a phone upgrade (yess! I got the new iPhone 6 – an early Anniversary present 😀), I checked Uncommon to find that their range of phone covers has expanded to cater to all manner of tastes (earlier they mostly did custom cases, and had very few ready-mades).
If you are in the mood for something feminine and elegant, check out these cases from Katie Rodgers.
If you want something very fashionable and attention-grabbing, try these sweet cases from Izak Zenou
And then there is the weird and wonderful collection from Yellena James perfect for your inner hippie because let’s face it, real hippies wouldn’t be caught dead carrying iPhones, right?
However, the one I really have my eye on this sexy one. I normally don’t go for animal prints, but this one has me hooked. It’s multi-colored so will hide all chips and scratches, it’s pink and purple and so I know Snubnose will approve. I have promised her she will have final approval of my iPhone cover.
Of course, we are not going to buy any cover until I check out what Chumbak has to offer. We went around to their store last week but were informed that the new cases for the iPhone 6 would be available in around two weeks time. Bummer!
They do Indian kitsch fabulously well and until I actually see their new collection (their older phone cases are available here), I am not going to make a decision on this. Still, I have to say that I am still swaying towards a case from Uncommon.

I feel like this whole post warrants a disclaimer. I was neither paid nor compensated for this post by any of the companies featured here. It’s just pure cover love, people, and I need your help.
If you had to choose a phone cover, which one would you pick from this lot above? Do you know any other kick ass phone covers?
Sometimes, I think shopping for a phone cover is more fun than shopping for the phone itself.
So many cute covers! And I LOVE the Rifle Paper Company. I first happened across their stationery in a stationery shop in Portland, Maine, when I was there on vacation, and now I go to their website a lot to gaze yearningly at their adorable cards. I got my sister and brother-in-law personalized cards from them for their wedding — it has a wee cartoon of each of them, plus their names. 🙂
@readingtheend:disqus They do have some nice stationery 🙂
Nish, you should take a look at Masaba Gupta’s iPhone covers. They’re simply fabulous. Quirky, eclectic and really cool 🙂
@Anjana Avinash: Really, I need to check online, thanks for the tip 🙂
