When I saw this shelf on neuvonfrisch-shop, I was just going to pin it and move along, but I was pretty intrigued by the idea of bendable wooden planks and a bookshelf taking shape as per the arrangement of books and I thought it was worth sharing here.
This bookshelf would not hold all my books of course, but it’s tempting to consider if you want a talking point in your living room to showcase just a few books.
Have you seen any innovative furniture lately? Do you think this bookshelf is a sturdy one?
I would love to own that bookshelf, maybe just to keep few books.
@avada@ashcerebrations.com yeah, it’s very decorative
I’m not so sure about sturdy but it’s design and I like that. I’d love to have something like that in my bedroom to put books on.
@didib:disqus a bedroom is also a really nice place for it 🙂
You get a little something, you lose a little something. You get flexibility, you lose durability. Probably.
Here’s my Wordless Wednesday: Goodbye, Old Tree.
@debnance:disqus True that 🙂
wow Nishita! its such a lovely find, I would love to have it in my home 🙂
@dreamzandclouds: So would I. The more I look at it, the more I think this would be a lovely addition to the living room. I wish such fun furniture was available in India also.
me too re…if you happen to come across it in India do let me know 🙂
It’s very attractive, but I would never feel secure about it. I would use it to shelve books I didn’t care about. :p
There’s a furniture company called Manchester Wood (I think) that has a coffee table that segments into four pie-shaped wee little tables. You can use it all put together, as a circular coffee table, or if you wish to, you can break it up into the four different parts (as TV tables, for instance). So that is my current favorite piece of unusual furniture. Someday I will make it mine.
@readingtheend:disqus wow, that sounds lovely – furniture that you can configure just the way you want it.
