There are so many relationships and characters in the book (and the show episodes based on it) A Game of Thrones by George R.R.Martin, that I think it’s futile to capture everything in an infographic, but I have to say the folks at hauteslides have done a pretty decent job of it.
Did you find it hard to make the connections between the people in the book? I didn’t find it so, but I guess it must have been harder figuring out who is who if you are following only the mini-series.

Okay, there are way too many confusing bits / spoilers here for me! I’m standing here going ‘Geoffrey has siblings? And children??’ Lol. That chart is dangerous! But I like it! 🙂
@Annie: Oh, was it too spoiler-y? I hope not :(. Joffrey’s connection to Sandor Clegane is servant connection not child.
I found it confusing initially but not anymore. However when it comes to knights, I get all confused. There are just too many “ser” to keep track. But yeah this tree diagram is good. 4th book is pretty confusing with some new characters. I am on the 4th book now.
@Ava: …wait till you come to Dance with Dragons, I got so terribly mixed up with all those people at Daenerys’ court. Just too many characters. That whole Essos/Meereen setup is beyond complicated.

@Anjana: That’s all right :)… agree with you that Dance of Dragons had too many characters and back stories confusing it. I loved the first 3 books in the series, the last two are a little more meandering and vague. But still, still I need to know what happens…and every time I see something ASOIAF-related on the web, I go clickety-click into a maze of information. I even found a Rickon Stark fan blog…can you believe that? LOL
Nish, I somehow hung in there and managed to retain some semblance of order in my memory until the last book completely threw me. The Dance with Dragons was so confusing and the series doesn’t seem to have ended ! 🙂
