I’ve planned to read more Margaret Atwood ever since my mind-blowing experience with The Handmaid’s Tale. That plan fell to the wayside but after seeing this brilliant trailer for her latest book MaddAddam, I am again feeling this itch to read more books by her.
I have been told that MaddAddam is best read after reading her other books – Oryx and Crake and The Year of the Flood, so I am planning to do a little round of my local library to see if I can snag these books.
Meanwhile, I enjoy the book-trailer for now 🙂
Have you read MaddAddam, or the other two books in the trilogy? Are you planning to?
I wanted to read more Atwood as well. I ended up reading Alias Grace. It was interesting and took some time getting into. But once it swung up then it really went fast.
@deweydecimalbutler: She’s quite prolific isn’t she? I never knew she had written so many books.
I did pick up Oryx and Crake. But I had just done reading Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. I was still grieving over this story and could not get into O&C. So I decided to give myself some healing time before picking it up.
@Ava: Yeah, Never Let me Go is brutal, it’s hard to come out of that book. Usually, when I read such books, I make sure I read something very light after
Yes. I suppose I should keep a bunch of romance novels handy.
