If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a flurry of Piglet pics there all of a sudden. Yes, it has happened. Finally, Piglet has agreed to pose for photographs!
I had blogged sometime back how difficult it was to get any shots of him, and in fact there are whole months in his life that have gone undocumented just because all I had were blurry pics and sob stories.
It had gotten downright embarrassing when I asserted to all my friends that Piglet was the happiest toddler around when all I had to show for it were ferocious scowling pictures (see example).
But now, he has actually started to stay still enough that I can click off a couple of pics on my phone and I can’t get enough of it. It would be safe to say that I’ve gone a little click-happy taking photos of all the non-events in his life in the past week.
When K remonstrates, I shoot back saying I never know when Piglet is going to get non-cooperative again and so I am making hay while the sun shines.
Here are a few photos I took last week that I just have to share here.
K declares that Piglet looks like a prisoner in the above striped romper. All I can say to that is he makes a super-cute one, don’t you think?
A regular walk in the park suddenly becomes a thrill when Piglet smiles sunnily at the camera.
How do you persuade children to pose for photographs?
He’s precious!
Thanks @bermudaonion_kathy:disqus @VickiSN:disqus 🙂
He’s adorable!!
What a cutie!!
@readingtheend:disqus I agree Jenny, now if only he would allow me to record his cuteness on a more consistent basis. He’s gone back to sulking for the camera now.
aww lovely! How old is he now?
@disqus_jotNjiSB7s:disqus he is now 2 years 6 months
That stripped romper does look a little like prison wear but he is sooo adorable in it that it doesn’t even matter! The park pics are super cute too!
@disqus_W3bZsBdKXf:disqus the striped romper is one of my favorite outfits for him, was so bugged when K said he looked like a prisoner 🙁
Cute…but I like the grumpy one too!
“How do you persuade kids to take photos?” I usually say “smile” with mixed results:
1. For Benji, he does this weird grimace which he thinks is a smile. So then I say “stop smiling!”
2. For Mimi, she immediately comes running “to see”. She has been introduced to the self-facing camera and now it’s seflies or nothing.
@The Bride I like the grumpy one, just I have too many of them for my taste 🙂
Piglet also likes to take selfies. He’s maha interested in photography, we even got him his own Fisher-Price camera. The thing is none of his selfies are actually usable 🙂
