Today’s topic is Community:
While the awards are a fun part of BBAW, they can never accurately represent the depth and breadth of diversity in the book blogging community. Today you are encouraged to highlight a couple of bloggers that have made book blogging a unique experience for you. They can be your mentors, a blogger that encouraged you to try a different kind of book, opened your eyes to a new issue, made you laugh when you needed it, or left the first comment you ever got on your blog. Stay positive and give back to the people who make the community work for you!
I would like to list the following bloggers who make me so happy to be a book blogger:
First, I would like to highlight Sharry from Always Dreaming. Hers was one of the first book blogs I stumbled upon and started following assiduously, and thanks to the many interesting blogs she features on her side bar, I really got a good introduction into the huge and diverse book blogging community on the web. I also love that her reviews highlight her personal experience with the books. Her blogging frequency is sometimes not as often as some other book bloggers, but she more than makes up for it with the quality of the in-depth reviews she posts.
Another blog that I want to feature is Judith’s Leeswammes’ Blog. I first discovered her blog when she was featured on WordPress.com’s Freshly Pressed, and since then, she remains one of my favorite book bloggers. She’s also extremely active within the community, she always responds on Twitter, to her comments, and she is the host of one of my favorite book blogger giveaway programs – The Literary Bloghop. Truly deserves a shout-out for all the efforts she puts in to organizing this.
