Remember my blog post about shopping in Dillihaat? I had picked out the shawl in the photo below for Rs.200 /- and thought then that I could have bargained the price even lower.

Imagine my shock last weekend, while wandering around Commercial Street to see the same shawl being sold for Rs.995/-. I know the goods are marked up quite a bit in Bangalore, but this is absolutely ridiculous. Especially because the shawl did not survive more than a couple of washes. It now looks faded and stretched out. Imagine the disappointment of the customer who pays such a high price for such poor quality!
