Somehow, I missed this news. He died of cancer on November 4th. This was a complete surprise for me. I have read many of his books, enjoyed some, and panned some. I particularly enjoyed the scientific / technological angle that he provided in most of his novels. Did not enjoy the predictability factor as much.

I think I liked Prey the most, and also the Jurassic Park series 🙂
