This is a late, late post, but it was such a landmark night that I felt I had to post this on the blog.
We gathered all of us together for a luxe dinner at Wabi Sabi to celebrate Snubnose’s 19th birthday. We also wanted to celebrate my new job role. I was leaving home two days later to London to start my new role. And although we knew the rest of the family would be joining me shortly, we were still unclear as to the exact dates. K’s visa was yet to arrive, and I needed to set up a solid base in London, the kids needed to finish up their exams, and overall, a lot of work still pending.
So, it was nice to have this dinner marking her birthday and acknowledging all the beginnings and endings in progress.
We are normally not a 5-star restaurant family, but again, we knew money would be tight in London, and it would be some time before we could even consider such a luxurious experience here.
No comments on the food, everything was amazing, but it was just so nice for all of us to gather together in our best clothes, best moods, and just let our hair down.
Some photos to remember the night.

After that night, I was too busy packing and never paused to look at the photos that hubby sent me later. I only stumbled on these pics now, almost three months later, and it’s hard to even imagine how much my life has changed since then.
Such a wonderful night!
