I normally don’t review articles of clothing or shoes, or anything like that on my blog. If I like something, I put a photo on my insta, tag the brand and pen down a couple of short sentences. If I really love something, there may be multiple photos on the gram.
Since I am talking about these shoes on the blog, that itself means that these shoes are something above the ordinary.
First up, the brand is somewhat new to me. I have always flip-flopped back and forth between the usual brands – Nike, Reebok, and Adidas. But of late, my feet have widened (one of the joys of aging), and I who normally have no issues with fit started getting foot pain, and the usual brands just weren’t doing it for me. Suddenly my beloved Stan Smiths were pinching my feet.
The issue further exacerbated after moving to UK. I’ve been walking way more than I normally do in India, and the walking shoes I had just weren’t cutting it. I ended up wearing my hiking boots to work, and giving very country girl in the city vibes.
I had to do something. A whole lot of trying on shoes and googling later, I realized my feet had widened and expanded so much, that I was a full one size bigger. Now confident about the size, I went looking for the softest, springiest shoes I could find and landed on the On website. They had a discount on the cloudgo and free, no fuss returns, and so I went for it.

And here are the shoes on my feet. They really live up to their name, and it feels like I am walking on clouds. They are running shoes, and I could use them for running, but I love how smart and casual they look on my feet even if I am walking around in the city. The best thing is they don’t look huge on my feet, which is something I was very conscious of when I tried out the other brands such as Converse and New Balance in the store.

If they have a flaw, it’s that they are not climate proof – my Salomon hiking shoes are the best at protecting my feet from rain, mud, and cold. But that’s ok, these shoes are great for walking all day in the city. They are flexible and look cool enough to wear to office. My London office is pretty fancy, and I can’t walk in there in my usual casual clothes like I used to in Bangalore 😔. So, I like that these sneakers are quite subtle in the design.
My husband K, who was at first skeptical and discouraged me from experimenting with a new brand, is now eyeing my shoes and is planning to pick up a pair for himself and the boy as well.
K is a tough customer, so if he likes something, it has really passed the quality test! Comfort and style! I love them!
