Nonfiction November 2021: New Additions to my TBR

It’s the final week of Nonfiction November and the turn of Jaymi at OCBookgirl to be the host with a question about the books I’ve been tempted to get having read other bloggers’ posts.

There have been so many great recommendations by other participating bloggers, and it’s pretty hard to cull them down into a must-read list of books.

However, these are the most intriguing and will be going on my TBR list.

Christopher @Plucked from the Stacks recommended this book: The Woman Who Wasn’t There: The True Story of an Incredible Deception by Robin Gaby Fisher and Angelo J. Guglielmo Jr. This book is about Tania Head, who became one of the most visible survivors of the World Trade Center disaster in the aftermath of 9/11. She inspired people with her story of escaping from the 78th floor of the south tower and worked with the World Trade Center Survivors’ Network. The only issue? She was never there.

Rennie at What’s Nonfiction recommended The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma, by Bessel van der Kolk. This book has always been on my TBR; recently, I was under a lot of stress/anxiety, and I was told that could be contributing to my excruciating upper back pain. I have never connected mind-body health so far, but I guess now is the time.

I saw this book featured on Readerbuzz’ TBR: Tombstone: The Earp Brothers, Doc Holiday, And the Vendetta Raid from Hell by Tom Clavin. I have watched a couple of movies (notably Tombstone), and I am fascinated by the Gunfight at OK Corral, so I would love to get my hands on this book.

And that’s it, folks! Knowing my penchant for ignoring my TBR in favor of the latest hot new book to catch my fancy, I am keeping my list short.

What books did you add to your TBR list?
