Monsoons are always a terrible time for hair. It gets frizzy, dry, and uncontrollable.
Normally, we work around that with hair spa treatments at the parlor, or maybe getting a deep moisturizing treatment done.
Unfortunately now with the Coronavirus, that’s pretty much become impossible. Instead, we turn to at-home beauty and hair care treatments.
One brand I tried recently is the Trichup shampoo and mask, and I was impressed enough that I wanted to share it with you on the blog.
Trichup is a natural Ayurvedic solution for hair problems such as hair loss, dandruff, dry, or frizzy hair. They have a range of hair oils, serums, shampoos, and conditioners that you can purchase depending on your hair problem.
This is our first time trying out anything from their range, and I was pretty impressed. The Keratin range is designed to make your hair stronger and less prone to breakage.
The hot oil hair mask that accompanies the shampoo provides deep moisturization and leaves your hair smelling divine. Both products contain no parabens or silicones and are all-natural.
What I like about the shampoo and mask
- It’s very mild, and left my hair feeling clean and natural
- It smells very good, but some people might feel it is on the stronger side. To me, it was fine.
- No harmful chemicals
- No side effects. My hair is sensitive and reacts badly to new products. I was worried about trying this shampoo and mask, but didn’t have any issues.
- It is safe for colored hair.
- The keratin in the product makes hair stronger. I have tried it a couple of times and breakage has reduced a little bit. However, I would have to use it more to say anything conclusive.

These are shots of the hair just after wash and mask. Hair is still on the dry side, but it’s much less compared to the usual texture. Once we added a little serum to the hair, it was quite fine and manageable.

Yay or nay?
I think this is a yay. It’s a decent shampoo and mask, which does not damage the hair. Over time, I expect it to provide good results. If you have dull or dry hair prone to breakage, try this shampoo and mask combo.
