All About Amway’s #NutriliteforHealth supplements

Amway invited me to a blogger’s meet last weekend to learn more about a series of natural supplements that they are manufacturing under the Nutrilite Traditional Herbs range.

My previous experience with Amway was almost a decade ago, when an Amway associate tried to persuade me to buy a series of Amway personal care products and become an Amway agent. I kind of shied away delicately as I am an incredibly unconvincing person (years of part-time jobs as sales associate have convinced me sales is not my cup of tea).

Anyway, the word Amway slid in and out of my consciousness but I never paid more attention until a jazzy looking store opened up on the posh 100 Feet Road in Indra Nagar. And when the invite came to visit the store and find out about health supplements, I was too curious and just had to make a visit.

We started off the event talking about some of the general problems that people face in this modern fast-paced era – poor dietary habits, preponderance of packaged food, sedentary lifestyle, and how that makes us feel tired and unhealthy.

To tackle this problem, Amway has come up with a range of herbal supplements under the brand name Nutrilite. The Nutrilite Traditional Herbs range comprises of 4 products including Nutrilite Tulsi, Nutrilite Brahmi, Nutrilite Ashwagandha, and Nutrilite Amalaki, Vibhitaki, and Haritaki. This new range is specifically developed using Indian traditional herbs keeping in mind the nutritional requirement of Indian consumers.

Why herbal supplements?

As per certified Ayurvedic doctor Dr. Kishore, supplements using traditional Indian herbal ingredients are more easily absorbed by Indian systems. Traditionally, our ancestors consumed these plants, and our bodies are genetically wired to absorb these nutrients better.

You might ask, why should we swallow these pills? Why not consume the herbs directly?

Well, Dr. Kishore has an answer to that question also.

This is because of Amway’s commitment to providing the benefit of the right kind of herbs, the right part of the plant, in the right dosage, to customers via its Nutrilite Traditional Herbs range. The range is the perfect combination of ancient wisdom and modern science.

In addition, it’s definitely easier to swallow a pill than grow plants in the home, and grind them up and have. At least, I think so.

What do Nutrilite supplements offer that other brands don’t?

Mr. Ajay Khanna – Category Head, Nutrition And Wellness had a lot to talk about the quality of their product. The herbs are picked up only from 100% organic, non-GMO, Indian farms. Amway employees use the right species of herbs are used to provide maximum benefit to consumers. They also pick the right part of the plant (not all parts of the plant are useful) while making the supplements. These supplements are made under extremely hygienic and sterile conditions.

"Mr.

The supplements are manufactured in Amway’s state-of-the-art LEEDS ‘GOLD’ certified plant at Dindigul, Tamilnadu, untouched by human hands, following stringent quality control measures. The folks at Amway have extensively researched, formulated, and tested these supplements to ensure that they are completely safe for use, and are FSSAI-certified.
