Snubnose has wanted to keep her own blog for some time now. I am still not very sure if that’s a good idea or not, but I guess with some supervision it could work.
I think mostly it will be a repository for all her essays and random thoughts she pens down.
For a start, it features her latest art work.
It’s done in the Madhubani style. The original idea was to use watercolors, but snubnose had some trouble controlling her hand and keeping it steady.
Eventually, she went ahead using her trusty oil pastels. For some time now, she is using more complex colors. This one features subtle colors in shades that she calls emerald-green, pista-green, mauve, yellow ochre, and various other colors that I have trouble keeping track of.
Read all her thoughts on the Madhubani here. And if you could leave a kind comment on her post, it would just make her day, week, month.
Note: I helped her set up the blog and insert the image. Everything else is by her including her messed up grammar and capitalization 🙂 .
I for one am not too concerned about it. I love that she wants to write.
She’s written tons of stuff in her notebooks, and though her grammar and hand-writing could use some improvement, my primary motive is to get her to write fluently and confidently. The other stuff can all be sorted out later.
What do you think?
Note: Have you participated in the literary bloghop yet? If not go clickety-click, there are some great books to be won!
Great initiative!! Love that blog!
@shwetars:disqus Thanks Shweta 🙂
