In Which Post I Dissect an Egg

The snubnose like most others I know has a couple of guilty pleasures when it comes to food. One of them is the Kinder joy chocolate egg.

These chocolate eggs have been available on supermarket aisles for ages now and I always used to wonder which poor sap would be so mad as to fork Rs.30 for one. Well, now I know 🙂 – their target market is frazzled moms and dads of tantrum throwing toddlers.

For the past few months, we have been regularly procuring the egg for the snubnose during our grocery rounds. And noticed that this egg craze is not solely limited to my daughter. These eggs have been flying off the supermarket shelves.

The reason for that is fairly simple, and I will explain in detail through the use of pictures and words.

Once opened, the egg has two halves, one side contains the chocolate, the other side contains a surprise toy.

The snub nose first sets off carefully assembling the toy. Adult help is required because she finds the tiny parts a little difficult to put together.

And then she proceeds to savor the egg.

This is rather a self-indulgent post from me and my daughter. I know that the snubnose’s current obsession with the Kinder joy egg will not last that long, and somehow I wanted to cherish these very sweet happy moments.

The snubnose is also always thrilled when she is featured on my blog, and so how could I not indulge her in this 🙂

Yes, you should indulge her, because she is so cute 🙂
Here in California, the Persian stores sell this “kinderjoy”, it’s not bad ..my kids like it too..I wonder why the Indian stores doesn’t??

Too cute! I confess I love Kinder eggs myself, and I wish I could get them in the States. I am shamefully addicted to assembling tiny things. 😛

@Jenny: I heard they are banned in the States, probably because those little toys could be easily swallowed by children.

Under adult supervision though, I don’t see the harm in them.

My 5 year old loves it too–she has a very sweet tooth and I try to restrict her sugar intake but she literally harasses me until I give in!

@Rashmi: LOL …alll kids are like that. I try to restrict the snubnose by providing sweets only on the weekends. So far, it is working 🙂

@Shweta: You should. I sampled one of them, and it was not bad at all 🙂

Almost like a white chocolate version of Ferrero Rocher!
