Well – this obviously needs no telling, does it? The main plot of Suits was based on what was a very well hidden lie until now. But besides that, the show has proven time and again(like it needs any proving) that lies can totally make your life go topsy-turvy any second, making you feel like you’re changing horses in midstream. While this entire season has been about recovering from that lie and getting Mike out, we hope that the finale ends on a happy (truthful) note!
And if you, for some reason, don’t believe that, here’s A Suits-Special Guide to how lies can screw you up:
- You can go to prison
This HAD to top the list! Although, winding up in jail is an extremely harsh consequence subject to the intensity of the lie told.
- Manipulative Monsters
Remember the time Louis’s soul was overtaken by a manipulative monster that used Mike’s lie as leverage to blackmail EVERYONE to get things done his way? Yes, that.
- Losing loved ones
Jeff broke up with Jessica after she lied to him about the reason why Louis became name partner. You wouldn’t want to lose a loved one, would you?
- Vote of No Confidence
This is when everyone raises their hands up and says, “We’re done with you”, especially when you’re in power. If you lose your team’s trust, what are you left with?
Hint: An empty office.
- Losing your job
Well, this is kind of an obvious outcome of lying to your boss, isn’t it? Of course the lie needs to be discovered first. But, when it’s out in the open, all hell breaks loose. So, try to avoid the wrath of the Satan.
Tune-in to watch the season finale of Suits on Comedy Central on Saturday, September 17th.
