Wordless Wednesdays: Draw Like the Egyptians

It’s been a while since I showcased anything Snubnose has done. Here’s one Egyptian-style one that she finished recently.

She’s also practicing drawing elephants. Here’s one Snubnose wasn’t very happy with. I found it crumpled up on the ground, retrieved it, and took this photo.

I thought it was fairly decent, but what do I know.

  2. Snubnose is the kind of girl I used to beg to teach me to draw when I was that age. Nobody ever could, so I just felt terribly envious of them. Still true! She’s such a talented kid!

@readingtheend:disqus Jenny, you remind me of the kind of girl I used to be :). I was terrible at drawing (still am) and had to beg/bribe other more artistic children to help me with my biology drawings.

Once again -I must tell you that snubnose has real talent and it is great that you are helping her along. In India we are so focused on studies that we forget that having a hobby like reading and painting can give one such peace and clarity as we grow older 🙂 The elephant is actually nice, I wonder which one she finally decided was alrite. If you want I would suggest a site for her Christmas gifts – http://www.himalayafineart.com/default.aspx . Expensive but worth it 🙂

@Wanton Ruminating: Coming from you, that’s a huge compliment. I’m very happy she has her art, she really loves creating stuff.

About the elephant, she never did try again 🙁 . Thanks for the recco for art-related stuff. They have some interesting things there.
