Teaser Tuesdays: Bad Luck and Trouble

I read Bad Luck and Trouble by Lee Child last week and couldn’t help but be amused by the method the protagonist Jack Reacher uses to create a passcode.

I’d probably write out my birthday, month, day, year, and find the nearest prime number.

Actually that would be a problem, because there would be two equally close, one exactly seven less and one exactly seven more.

So I guess I’d use the square root instead, rounded to three decimal points. Ignore the decimal point, that would give me six numbers, all different.

Do you put such a lot of effort into creating passcodes? I have a method for passcode creation too, but it’s nothing so convoluted as Jack Reacher’s 🙂 .

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

My dad loves Lee Child but I have never read anything by him. I will have to check this out!

LOL, this one is already on my TBR list. I came late to Child’s Jack Reacher series, so I have a way to go.

Mine is also a series, The Family Way from Rhys Bowen’s Molly Murphy series. http://wp.me/pZnGI-9f

That’s a great Teaser. His method of choosing a password tells us a lot about the character. Most of us wouldn’t even consider going to that much trouble.
My Teaser is from RYELEE’S COWBOY.

I’m one of those people who always uses the same password for everything ever since I started to need passwords at the ago of twelve! I only knew of Jack Reacher as an, apparently, bad movie, but this sounds like a really fun teaser so I’ll have to check it out! Thanks for sharing 🙂
