Giveaway Updates

adopted_miraclesSorry for the very late announcement of the winner of Adopted Miracles.

The original winner never responded with her postal address. After giving it a few days, I went ahead and selected another winner – Tanya M. from Mom’s Small Victories. Congratulations, Tanya! I will be posting the book out this weekend.

Another giveaway is currently running on my blog – Whole Latte Love by Rachelle Ayala. I haven’t read the book, but the excerpt is really good and sounds like a great read if you are in the mood for a little romance. The giveaway is running here (scroll down to the bottom of the post) till the 24th of June. jewells

Talking about giveaways, I am scheduling yet another one this weekend. This is the literary giveaway bloghop that I always take part in and which is hosted by Judith.

Unfortunately, I’ve been caught napping this time, and I’m going to have to scramble deciding on the books to give away. I usually like to give away quality literary fiction that I have read and loved, but while browsing through my reading list this year I saw very little literary fiction that is globally appealing.

I probably need to dig deeper through previous years’ reading lists or something. To other participating bloggers in the hop, I have a question for you. How do you decide which books to select for a giveaway? I am truly stumped for choice this time around 🙁 .

However, confusion over book choice aside, I have my post all queued up and ready to go, and I am excited to see what books get featured on other blogs. I truly love the literary blog hop because of the sheer variety of books that are on offer.

There’s a whole bunch of bloggers giving away books, and even if you aren’t thrilled by my book giveaway choices, there will be plenty more books given out by other bloggers, so do drop in here over the weekend to catch all the action. The giveaway will start June 21 and ends June 25.

Wishing you all the luck and five days of happy book and book blog discoveries.

Well for me it was easy this year, I just went with two great reads that I had just finished reading, I couldn’t decide which one to offer, so went with both. Last year I went with a French translation because I like to read fiction in transation and more diverse authors and countries ans since I live in France I like to do my bit for promoting French literature and I am inspired by the fact that 45% of fiction read ion France is translated from other languages, they read literature from all around the world, puts the English publishing industry to shame.

I’ve never done a giveaway and it’s too late to join this one now. Hope you find something good to offer…
