Last week I showcased some lovely underwater photography, this week I have some more conventional but lovely still-life photographs of flowers by the photographer Ashley Woodson Bailey.
She divides her photography into two separate series: Light and Dark. Here are a few examples of her light flower series.
My favorites however are these lovelies from her dark series. They are truly glorious.

Flowers are not just about the petals but about the leaves too. Using a creative eye, carefully pick out the fine details and repetitive patterns you can see. Use a macro lens to get the best magnification.

The wonderful thing about flowers is that they can be found nearly everywhere! There may be some daisies in your garden; you could buy a bouquet at the local store, or you could go to a park with lots of flowers.

wow so pretty, just look at the colors. I love the dark ones too, there is a lot of depth and character in those.
