Hot May Books

Here are some new books coming out in May that sound interesting. Funnily enough all these books have elements of Fantasy in them. I guess I am in some sort of escapist mood.

Midnight Crossroad by Charlaine Harris is going to be hotter than the May summer I think. After the super success of the Sookie Stackhouse series, Charlaine Harris now gives us glimpses into super-natural life in Midnight, a town in Texas, and I for one can’t wait for it.

Thief’s Magic by Trudi Canavan is another fantastically sounding book. It combines magic with an industrial revolution and is the first in a series of books.

Doesn’t the book title of Flights and Chimes and Mysterious Times sound absolutely wonderful? I want to read it based on the title and the lovely cover alone. It’s written by Emma Trevayne. I am not familiar with the author but the book description about a magical London and a 10-year old boy makes me think it will be perfect for readers who loved Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman.

Have any of you got the opportunity to read these books? What new books are catching your eye these days?

I am mostly reading classics and self-improvement books these days. And the books that come for review. I was reading more of non-fiction, but now I am reading everything. Non-fiction is my favorite genre, but there are some limitations as to how much can be said in that genre. Fortunately, Kindle has an exhaustive collection of titles in every genre – so, I am not going to run out of books in this lifetime! 🙂

the beauty of the outdoors does have a beautiful cover. I’m not exactly in a fantasy mood right now but I would definitely pick this up.

btw, your new blog layout looks awesome.(It’s probably not new, I just haven’t been around much) I just decided to self host too and it’s very time consuming setting up a new space.

@VioletCrush Thanks. It’s been a couple of months since I changed my blog layout, so it’s a relatively new look.

All the best with the self-hosted bit, it takes a little time to get used to but very much worth the effort :).
