Teaser Tuesdays – Final Cut

Final Cut by Uday Gupt is a compilation of short stories. Here I am sharing a couple of quotes from two of the short stories. Actually both are the beginning lines and are a wonderful introduction to their respective stories.

It sometimes seemed that the Victorian Age had developed an assembly line to manufacture the sanctimonious, ploddingly competent, morally upright and uptight officials that England exported to rule its colonies. Just once in a while, perhaps to prove the point, the line spat out a William Stephen Raikes Hodson, the exception that proved the rule.
