Christmas Wishes and Presents!

This Sunday, after I got back from my vacation, I was so excited to receive my Christmas gift from Josephine (as part of the book blogger online holiday swap).

Thank you Josephine for the really beautiful card, bookmark, and the copy of I, Coriander by Sally Gardner. From what I read on the back of the book, it seems like it is a great blend of historical fantasy. Just right up my alley, I am pretty sure I am going to love it 🙂

Also, a huge Merry Christmas to all you guys. Have a rocking one, and a happy new year.

I was browsing through the net for some nice Christmassy links, and I found what appears to be a fun one – http://www.purplelion.com/christmas/northpole.shtml. Do take a look if you want some nice virtual Christmas fun!

For us, Christmas weekend is going to be a quiet one with my mom and dad visiting us. Plans are afoot for a nice dinner, and may be (if I can score some tickets), we might go to the cinema to watch Avatar. We may also go to the Leela Kempinski hotel to see their Christmas display (something of a tradition in our family)

What are your plans for Christmas weekend?

I read I, Coriander earlier this year! I thought it was good, but I preferred her French Revolution book The Scarlet Necklace. Didn’t like the sequel to that one as much as the first one, but I think she’s got historical fantasy down quite well.

Oh, goody! I have not read any books by this author as yet, but it sounds like she has a solid body of work.

      Thanks for the recco 🙂
